  • September 17: Active Shooter prevention webinar. If you missed the live presentation at our May meeting in Des Moines, check this one out on Sept 17th 1-3pm Central : A representative from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will discuss their publication of "Making Prevention a Reality: Identifying, Assessing, and Managing the Threat of Targeted Attacks" (available at This report examines the specific behaviors that may precede an attack and that might be useful in identifying, assessing, and managing those who may be on a pathway to violence. BAU will also discuss best practices for implementing a workplace violence prevention program that requires the input, cooperation, and ongoing efforts of Security, Legal, Cyber, Human Resources, Employee Assistance, and other departments in an organization. This is open to non-members however, this is NOT a media event.
